On July 4th we took the kids to the Peoria Sports Complex to watch the fireworks. WOW what a display. The kids kept looking for Mickey Mouse in the fireworks, because that had been the only place they had seen fireworks!. This was our first time at the Peoria Sports Complex, but definately not our last. We learned quite a few lessons...1. Bring a blanket that isn't knit, because fire ants crawl threw a knit blanet and bite your leg - as I learned the hard way. 2. Bring a cooler for food and water (not just water). The people next to us were kind enough to share all of their food with us. 3. Go much earlier. They had so many things that the kids would have loved to do...they had bounce houses, a water slide area, games...etc. 4. Wait until the baseball game is over, and go onto the field to watch the fireworks...how cool would that have been. Oh Well, next year.
