After the flight the kids were ready to get going...by the way it isn't the focus on the camera...it was really that steamy there

Todd's cousin Pam with the kids...we never did get a picture of Pam's daughter Kyra. She is such a little fish, she was swimming the entire time we were there.




Todd's Aunt Susan and Uncle Chuck with the kids...it was like the kids have seen them everyday of their lives.






Relaxing after an eventful day!

Well, I have finally talked Todd into us all going to Disney World. It has taken me five years, but hopefully after this experience it might not take as much efort next time. Todd's first experience was with his parents and they only took him to Epcot where the only ride he rode was "The History of the Combustion Engine"...not very interesting to a 10 year old. After that they visited Germany where his parents found a beer garden and that was all he saw. So this trip needed to be special to erase those tramatic events.
We started our trip in Florida by first going to the beach on Sanibel Island - the kids kept asking for the beach once we got on the plane. Because of huricane Gustav the surf was really strong. The girls loved all the waves and as long as Todd held on tight I was okay with them getting their feet wet. Harrison just wanted to stay on the towel. We got him out there a couple of times, but it wasn't for very long. When we started to build sand castles that was when Harrison really started to enjoy himself...that is until a rogue wave came in and washed over the entire beach. We were fortunate that we didn't lose our shoes or our towels...and that is how our beach day ended.
That night Todd's aunt Susan was having a cookout so we went over there to enjoy some of her delicious cooking. It was so nice to get to see and visit with everyone and the kids took to everyone like they had seen them everyday of their lives. It made us sad that we don't get to see more of them.
